The Kepler Visual Arts and Performing Center at the Hagerstown Community College was the renovation of a building originally constructed in 1978. Along with the construction of a 2 story addition. The addition includes a black‐box theater and dance studio, six music practice rooms, an ensemble room, dressing rooms, two classrooms, a multimedia lab, and nine new staff and faculty offices. TEI’s scope of work included a new service distribution system, general lighting and controls, new theater lighting control/dimming package and a sound system. Our crew installed all of the theater work from scaffolding and ladders due to the different elevation of the floor throughout the theatre. The renovation of this building allows all the instructors and students to come together to learn and practice their craft in an attractive and up to date facility.
